Off the Beaten Path
Since 2008, Muhammad has been a regular contributor to the Toronto Star, Canada’s most-read newspaper, writing extensively for their Travel section. In 2010, he became the first-ever Canadian journalist to live tweet/blog the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The blog drew more than 50,000 impressions in just over a week. As a videojournalist, he shoots photos & video, edits on his laptop, and feeds back using email or FTP.
